Disney World

We have officially entered into the Worlds of Disney, Sesame Street, Little Einstein, and more… William’s favorite activity is to watch Baby Signing Time – like a100 times a day!!!! He also loves Sesame Street (esp. Elmo) and the movie Cars. I am not sure that I am quite ready for this! I remember when our nieces would grab our hands and pull us to the television and all that they wanted was to watch Dora the Explorer over and over again. It feels like yesterday (although Skylar will be 9 this year!); I cannot believe how quickly time goes by. I have to remind myself to be patient with this phase, to sit and relish in the time that William wants to sit with his Mommy/Daddy and watch his shows, and to encourage those activities of which he becomes enthusiastic. It is truly amazing how big he is getting. He is quickly leaving the baby stage behind and becoming a little boy.

A Few of My Favorite Things

In the past few weeks William has been able to indulge in activities involving some of his favorite things. Before Christmas, we spent a lazy Saturday in Guitar Center and we played with all types of musical instruments. His favorites were the guitars, of course. Then, when his grandparents were in town for New Year’s William’s daddy, mommy, and Grampa took him to the Harley Davidson shop. William was able to sit on as many bikes as possible within a 30 minute period of time. And believe me, he sat on a lot of them!

I threw in a couple of photos of William in our backyard on his quad too…

Happy New Year

Happy 2009 Everyone!

Wow how time flies…We hope that everyone had a happy and safe New Year’s. Our family rang in the New Year quietly at home. Mike spent the day at the Insight Bowl and Gma/Gpa Marshall came from California for a late Christmas and New Year celebration with our family. We had a wonderful time playing Scrabble and watching movies. William had a day all alone with Gpa in which they took a walk to the park and had a Cajun lunch together. It was a wonderful weekend and we are so grateful for a happy, loving family.

Coolest Christmas Gift

Uncle David brought William’s Christmas gift a few days late. By the time W was able to open this one he had a real understanding of the word “present”. He was so ecstatic over this gift. It is by far his favorite. Thank you, Uncle David.
