Local Celebrities
A few weeks ago we were asked by a local news station if they could interview us for an article that they were planning for Sunnygram and we accepted. Well, it finally aired tonight. It is a sweet piece and the news station did a great job at describing Sunnygram’s services. We are very grateful to the owners of Sunnygram (especially Laurie Wilson Ahart and her husband) for allowing us to use their service. It has been a wonderful way to communicate with the William’s Great Grandmothers.

My First Baseball Game
William was able to attend his first baseball game on Friday evening thanks to some free tickets. Uncle David, Kori, and the three-point five of us went downtown for an evening game (D-backs vs. Dodgers); unfortunately the D-backs lost but I don’t think Wm cared much. He had so much fun and was mesmerized watching the game. Wm was given a special pin, popcorn, and cotton candy for his first game. After the game there was an added treat of fireworks (which scared Wm a bit because of the loud BANG-POP overhead). But we had a great time!
DINOS
Here we go again…another busy weekend for the three and a half of us. Today we headed out to the AZ Natural History Museum. This was a first for us all and we were very impressed. We were able to see exhibits ranging from dinosaurs, to meteors, Native American Indians, early Arizona history, an exhibit about Mars, and there was even a gold panning exhibit. We had a lot of fun. William, of course, loved the dinosaurs and the 3 story flash flood. Afterward, we headed to our favorite “Some like it hot” Mexican restaurant for a late lunch and then it was home for pool time and naps (Mikey swam while Wm and I napped). We have had a great day so far.

Ghost Town Sunday
The weather was absolutely amazing this past weekend. Highs were only in the low 100’s and we had a cool breeze throughout most of the weekend. It was a gift! Since the weather was so nice we decided to take advantage of it. A quick drive east of us is an old ghost town; the place is pretty much a tourist trap but it has a train so…we were off. We had a great day at the Goldfield Mining Town. Uncle Scott, cousin Reed, and cousin Evan even joined us. We rode on the train, took a tour of the mine, and had a great lunch in a real saloon with a real country western singer and even got ice cream. The boys were adorable! They requested songs from the country singer, played under the water tower, and loved the train ride. William however did not like the mine tour. He was terrified and cried/whined the entire time. You can see the shear terror on his face in one of the photos. Here are a couple of shots from the day. There are more photos on Shutterfly if you are interested. http://share.shutterfly.com/share/received/welcome.sfly?fid=490cc1875ae5d92d6276141d224b0f78&sid=0AauW7Vs0bMWLJJg

Spoiled Rotten
Call it what you will…early birthday, encouragement, early education, craziness, etc – I call it Spoiled Rotten!
William received a new drum set this weekend. He was so very excited about his new set and has been playing non-stop. Let me just say, this is now one very loud house!
A Very Busy Weekend
Our weekend was a very full one to say the least. Friday night William had a babysitter while Mommy and Daddy attended a going away party. William had a blast playing Rock Band and cars with his babysitter and her little brother. Then Saturday, we spent the morning at the train park with Uncle David and Kori. We rode the carousel and the train, twice! From there we headed to Sierra’s birthday party at the Gymnastics gym where William was able to jump on trampoline’s and into foam pits all while playing with his cousins. Saturday evening, we had pizza and fun at Aunt Cindy and Uncle Scott’s. William played and played with his cousins and on Uncle Scott’s drum set…by Sunday we were all pooped out! We had family day on Sunday where William ‘officially’ became the most spoiled 22 month old EVER (see following post). It was another one of our crazy weekends but we love them and enjoy every minute together as a family.
We hope that your weekend was just as fun!
