Super Men

Mike and Wm have been spending a lot of time as Super Heroes lately. They fly around the world (our house) in their costumes (blankets, towels, and clips) and save the world from the bad guys (Mommy)…

Polar Express

We had an amazing time this year at the Polar Express! This was our second annual trip and it is worth every second (and every dime). This year was especially nice because of William’s fascination with Christmas and trains - He was in heaven the entire trip. The Polar Express is a night train that leaves from Williams, AZ and warps through a tunnel to the North Pole. They read the Polar Express book, serve cookies and hot cocoa, sing carols, and even have a surprise visit from Santa on the train. It is truly magical for the kids. We also had the added benefit of snow this year; it was William’s first experience with the cold stuff and he just couldn’t get enough of it. Although it was extremely cold and windy AND we ended up caught in the first snow (blizzard) of the season without snow chains for the car, we would not have missed it for the world.

Zoo Lights

Every year the Zoo puts on a Holiday event called Zoo Lights. The zoo is open late for viewing holiday displays and music. We took a quick trip last Tuesday night. There are ‘dancing trees’ and a talking giraffe among thousands of lights… William loved it and we will be sure to take another trip before the event ends.

Happy Thanksgiving

OK – I’m a bit late…

We hope that you all had a wonderfully Happy Thanksgiving! We spent the first part of our long weekend with family members in our home town. It was wonderful to visit with so many (although not all) of our families and friends. We then drove to the beach for the remainder of the weekend and rented a cottage on the water. We felt that with the new baby on the way that we’d better maximize our family time (and beach time) while it is still just the 3 of us. Here are some photos from the weekend along with the Shutterfly link for more if you are interested. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AauW7Vs0bMWLJ6g

New Baby Photos

So, the new baby is already proving to be just as stubborn as his big brother, William. We had our 3rd Ultrasound yesterday and were supposed to get a 3D image of the baby. Unfortunately, he would not cooperate with us; we were only able to get four images of the baby overall. (If you can recall, Wm did not cooperate either during his 3D photo shoot). Mike and I were a bit disappointed but we realize that with so few surprises in pregnancies now a days that it was o.k. to wait a few more months to see our new baby’s face. Baby (and mommy) are doing very well. We are both healthy and growing daily. He is about 2 pounds right now and is on target for his March arrival. More updates soon…
