The real reason for our trip to La Jolla was for a very special wedding. Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Sparrow were married on Saturday in a beautiful ceremony in San Dieguito Park in Del Mar and a reception at the Marine Room in La Jolla.

Grams and Gramps
Grams and Gramps came to visit on Thursday for some sun and lunch. We all had a nice visit and they got to enjoy three of their four grandkids playing together in the sun.
You Will Always Remember Your First Time
William caught his first wave thanks to Daddy and Uncle Dave. The three headed out into the water for a quick surf lesson. W was SO excited and had a lot of fun. He cannot wait to surf again next trip.
Avery LOVED his first time on the sand. Immediately, he squealed and played in the squishy feeling stuff. He crawled as fast as he could toward the water and then splashed and played in the waves. He was actually mad at us when we made him get out because his little lips were purple.
La Jolla Weekend
We were able to spend an awesome extended weekend in La Jolla. The weather was unbelievably warm (80's and 90's) for the first week of November. We had so much fun with our friends, family and each other. On our way into town we actually drove through our old neighborhoods and had a nostalgic moment thinking of how our adult lives had begun and how it brought us to where we are now. Owl Hunt
WIth the weather turning nice again, we've been trying to get out and get active. One particular morning we took a nature 'hike' through the Riparian Preserve on search for Burrowing Owls. Unfortunately, we were too late in the day to find any owls but we did have an amazingly fun time together.

Ready for some football
About a month ago Uncle Sevy and the boys treated all of the cousins to a Cardinals v. Raiders Game. They had an amazing time together. It was a great treat and one that I hope they do not soon forget.
