Update

Well, our due date has officially come and gone, and yet no baby. We had a doctor's appointment today and all looks well. I continue to grow and dilate but slowly. At this point we have decided to schedule an induction. If the baby has not arrived by Monday morning we will go to the hospital to be induced.
All is well here at the house. Mike will finish his business law class on Monday (what timing, huh). William is as crazy as ever and his newest obsession is Ironman! He's been ill this week with a horrible head cold (which he caught from me) but has slowed down very little. And I am finally feeling better after a 2 week stent with the bug. We are all ready for the baby to arrive and look forward to this new chapter.
We will keep you all posted in the coming days/week. We hope that you are well and we look forward to introducing our new little guy to everyone.
All our love
~Jenni

Weekend

Here are some photos from this weekend. William and Daddy watched Transformers yesterday (with their special friends) and tonight, William and Mommy had some quality craft time. You can see that the stamp pad won the battle at the craft table!

Unexpected Visit

Grandma and Grandpa made an unexpected trip to AZ last weekend to help out before the baby’s arrival. It was wonderful to spend the time with them and as you can see by the photos, William loved having his Gpa/Gma here!

Fun at the Zoo

Last week we were able to take an unexpected family trip to the zoo in the middle of the week. We had so much fun and the weather was perfect! Here are a few photos from our morning.

NO GIRLS ALLOWED!!!

Our home is a boy home! It is filled with play tool chests, trains, superheros, and pirate treasures…

It has been raining here for the past few days and our activities have been limited to indoor only. To keep our active guys busy we have created a ‘Rainy Day House’. Our home has been retrofitted to incorporate a fire station, an obstacle course, and a rainy day fort. We’ve spent all of our time playing with these in the past 72 hours. We’ve also watched Peter Pan more times than I can count…I’ve never seen William (or Mike) giggle so much in my life. It has been a blast…What would we ever do with girls?

Smart Guy

William was watching the rain fall this morning out of our back door. He turned to me and stated that “water from the pool evaporates and goes into the sky, then it rains and falls on the ground”. I was shocked and amazed at his statement (especially his knowledge of the word ‘evaporate’), that is until he said, “then Super Caillou flies through the air and gets the bad guys”… at least he’s learning a little something from Caillou…

He then asked, “Mommy, why is thrundrer is so loud a sound?”

Update

Sorry that it has been so long since we have posted/written. I’ve had to take things a bit more slow these past few weeks and will continue to do so until the new baby arrives. We are all doing well and we are quickly approaching the arrival of our new little guy.

William is getting bigger by the minute! He’s talking up a storm and loves to tell long elaborate stories about EVERYTHING. He continues to love reading, Superheroes, fire trucks, and his trains. And recently has really begun to enjoy creating art projects, drawings, and paintings. William has gone through a growth spurt and can now reach onto the countertops with ease – cool for him; not so cool for us! He constantly amazes us with new vocabulary words and is grasping new and difficult concepts with ease.

I will continue to post/write as much as possible in the coming weeks.
