One of the absolute best things about living in a metro area is the accessibility to the arts. Our family spends most weekends either at the museums downtown or at the zoo. We are very fortunate to be able to expose William to art, music, and much more by living so close. Saturday, our family along with Uncle David and his girlfriend Kori spent the afternoon downtown. We visited the Phoenix Art Museum and we love the new Contemporary Art wing there! We went from room to room exploring all of the pieces. At the end of each gallery we would all share our favorite piece. William’s favorites were the “Firefly” and the “Living Tree” pieces.

Look what we can do
We purchased a webcam for our computer at home, joined Skype, and can now have video calls with our families far away. We have spent the majority of our Saturday morning visiting with Dave/Adele/Luella, Sean/Kate/Owen, and Gma/Gpa M. We were able to see Adele’s growing belly and Owen crawl/roll across the room. William even had breakfast with Gma/Gpa M.
It’s been a lot of fun!

Little Golfer
William has a new obsession – GOLF
He loves to play in the yard and hit golf balls and is actually quite good. William’s hand-eye coordination is terrific. Last week, Mike took him out on a “guy’s night” and they purchased William his very own junior putter and some golf balls. And since that time some good friends have gifted William a junior pitching wedge, putter, and golf bag. We went miniature golfing last weekend for our family night. We all had a great time even though William wouldn’t allow Mike or me to hit any of the golf balls. He loves it; can’t you tell?

Sk8 Lessons
It has begun…Mike took William out last night for his first ‘official’ skate board lesson. William did so well. He practiced, took a spill, giggled a lot, and practiced some more. I’m not sure who was happier William or Daddy? They are both so cute!
Daddy and the Zoo
Some shots from our recent trip to the zoo.
A Long Weekend
We made a trip to Hemet last weekend to celebrate the lives of two wonderful people who recently passed away. It was a difficult weekend for all. During our trip we were able to stay with my parents and visit with a lot of friends. William loves his Gramma and Grampa’s house and actually begins to clap and say “yea” as we approach the orange groves at the base of their hill. It was also Gramma’s Birthday on Sunday so we took her out to a special brunch. Grampa and Wm snuck out onto the golf coarse and played a bit. Here are a few photos from our trip.
