William's New Friends
Part of our time in California was special “Family Time” and a special Mother’s Day – we took the boys to Disneyland for their first time and stayed at the Disneyland Hotel! We had such a wonderful time and Wm made some new friends
More California Trip
On our trip to California we were able to spend an entire day with Grampa! We visited our Great Grampa/Gramma Marshall and had a picnic at the park. What a treat to get to play all day with Grampa
California Trip
We took a trip to visit the family and to introduce Mr. Avery to his Grandparents and Great-Grandparents. We had a bonus in that Aunt Katie, Uncle Sean, and Owen were in town from Texas also. We spent some fun time with all of them!
William - 31 months
William is now 31 months and 28 pounds and at just over 2 ½ years he is all over the place. He is an absolute joy even when he’s being a handful. William loves Superheroes, Outerspace (in particular, the Solar System), sports, to tell stories, and Star Wars. We took William to his first movie on Friday night. We went to the drive-in and watched Ironman 2 (his favorite superhero). He did so well and he cannot wait to see another movie in the Mooveee Fee-iter.
Wm has developed his ‘terrible two’ persona and is finding that he has distinct likes and dislikes. Dislikes most always are accompanied by his version of a tantrum, which is an angrily yelled, “HULK SMASH” followed by a pounding of his fists once on the ground. We’ve noticed episodes of stuttering which come and go in length and severity. According to our research this is very normal for children his age because their brains are working so much faster than their little mouths can. He should grow out of it in the next 6 months or so…hopefully sooner than later because he is beginning to get very frustrated during these episodes.
Other than that, Wm is a very active 2 ½ year old. His favorite thing right now is to tell stories. Wm is perfectly content making up stories to tell to anyone who will listen. Just beware; he wants you to make them up too….
William is a great big brother; he is very gentle, kind, and protective to Mr. Avery
We are so very happy to have our William and to see him grow and develop.
