Avery and his Bestest Buddy
Avery love, love, loves our Kitty. He will squeal with delight, scoot and maneuver his way, as fast as he possibly can in order to get as close as he possibly can to the Kitty's face. Amazingly enough, Kitty will allow Avery to love all over him. I swear, that I've even heard him screech out Kitty's name!
Craft Time
Most afternoons when Avery is napping I try to spend some quiet time with William. This doesn't always work out as planned - nothing ever does with a toddler. This particular day we chose Dino Stamps. After we drew some pictures of trees, grass and a volcano, William stamped his dinos onto the picture and we told stories of dino adventures. Somehow, at the end of craft time, he convinced me that he was a dino and needed dino stripes on his face...what can I say, I'm a sucker for a cute toddler.

Puzzle pieces
Avery is putting the pieces together. He's figuring out the whole crawling thing. I'm sure he'll be an expert by the end of the week. Now if one that silly Kitty would hold still...

A World of Opportunity
You could hear the Angels singing and the Gates of Heaven opening wide as little Avery scooted his way across the foyer to the yellow glow coming from beneath the stairs. With each little push of his toes he grunted and then pulled his body forward until...finally...at last...he found...THE BOOK CAVE!!!!!!
And then, after all that work (and all of those toys), Avery turned around and played with my lens cap! Go figure.

Dress Up
Oh to be a child again...William's imagination is phenomenal. He continues to enjoy make believe and dress up. Friday night, he was Batman. Wm ran through the house with his mask on singing, "Nah, nah, nah, nah....B-A-T-M-A-N!!!!"

Painting
William wanted to paint his Daddy a picture so we waited until late in the day when the weather was cool-er and found some shade in the yard. We set up the easel and the sprinkler and had ourselves a little party. Wm painted a bit, then when we were nice and hot, we would all (Wm, Avery, and Mommy) run through the sprinkler, and then pick the paint brush up again for some more art work.
Working, working, working
I've been working a lot with my camera lately just trying to experiment and to improve my portrait technique. Here are a few shots of the boys from this week.
