Flood and Draught Update

I know that it has been awhile since I last posted. Flood and drought - seems to be how it is around here lately. We have had a busy start to 2009 but have enjoyed every minute so far. William is constantly changing; he is now 15 ½ months old and is turning more into a true toddler every day. He is tall and skinny as a rail with piercing blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair that curls up at the ends. He has 11 teeth (and counting) and his smile lights up the world. William has learned to “give love” and will freely give kisses, hugs, and squeezes until you think you’ve simply died and gone to heaven. His speech is developing and so is his personality. William loves to walk around the house screaming “Daaaaddddaaaah - Muuummmaaahhh” then quietly and with a flirty smile awaits a reply. He tells long and elaborate stories which are mostly gibberish until he ends the statement with a laugh or a recognizable word or two. But he is truly communicating and has a desire to share his world with those around him. He has decided that flavored popcorn, peanut butter, and berries are his new yummy favorites. And he can now reach onto countertops, pantry shelves, and into drawers, which makes for all kinds of new adventures. William loves to sing to himself and play with his cars, blocks, and his activity tent. He has a fascination with his riding toys and wants to ‘go-ride’ on everything. He has developed quite the little attitude proving to be just as stubborn as his Mommy and Daddy (great!). And temper tantrums are a new norm in our home. But no matter, we are so in love with our little boy and are grateful for every single second we have with him. I cannot believe that it was 2 years ago this month that Mike and I found ourselves turning and walking down this new path in our lives together. What an amazing journey so far. I could not ask for anything more.
